Excellent College Tutor majoring in Engineering at UCSD

Hi, I’m Jaideep! I am currently a college student at the University of California, San Diego studying Bioengineering with a specialization in Bioinformatics. I have always enjoyed helping other students understand difficult topics, especially in math and science, which caused me to gain several years of tutoring experience.

For the past two years, I have tutored both the Reading and Math sections of the SAT as part of the Khan Academy team. In this team, I worked with students to strengthen their test-taking skills, while improving reading comprehension and breaking down complex math problems into clear steps. My goal has always been to help students become more confident while improving their scores.

I also worked at Kumon over the past year, where I helped younger students develop strong foundations in math and reading. This experience taught me how to change my explanations for different learning styles and grade levels.

Along with standardized test prep and elementary-level tutoring, I have experience helping students with college STEM courses. I have tutored Calculus I, Calculus II, and Physics I, guiding students through topics such as derivatives, integrals, series, and mechanics. These subjects are often confusing, so I focus on explaining the theories behind the formulas and showing step-by-step problem-solving methods so students can approach new problems with confidence.

My tutoring style focuses on patience, clarity, and building strong conceptual understanding. I try to create a positive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and working through difficult topics at their own pace. I always make sure to work with students in order to develop strategies that help them succeed independently.
