I am also proficient in general physics including kinematics, thermodynamics, fluids, optics, waves, simple harmonic motion, and more, as well as basic French. I scored a 1510 on the SAT and am able to teach both SAT math and English. I am also knowledgeable in AP subjects such as European history, US history, environmental science, calculus, and physics, all of which I took at the AP level and scored a four or five on. I was in the math club in high school and competed in numerous math competitions that focused on problem solving.
I tutored at Kumon for over two years, specializing in teaching children between 4 and 7 math and reading. Depending on their age and skill, the tutoring I provided ranged from how to count and read, to how to do basic math and reading comprehension. At Kumon, I also gained experience tutoring advanced middle schoolers in calculus. While I mainly taught the older kids with worksheets and homework, I used further techniques on the younger kids, creating games and challenges to keep them interested. This tutoring was both one on one as well as in a group setting where I was assigned multiple kids at once. I have also tutored peers while in high school in algebra and geometry, helping them learn content by going over their homework with them and helping them understand each question until they mastered the subject.
