Hello, my name is Kabir! I am a second year undergraduate at UC San Diego double majoring in Neurobiology and Physics. I am interested in going into a career in academia and research, which would allow me to do two of the things I love to do most: teaching and learning! Though I don't yet have years of formal experience in teaching, I do have years of experience with studying and explaining complicated topics in math/physics. From high school until now, tutoring my friends and classmates has always been greatly satisfying to me. For physics and math, my approach to tutoring begins with assessing where your understanding is at and how you think about the problem, which I can then build on and guide your thinking towards the correct direction. I've experienced this "guiding" process to be the most beneficial way to teach as it builds a robust base and a deeper understanding for why we're doing what we're doing.
I would be happy to tutor in high school math or physics (I got 5's in AP BC Calc and AP Physics), and I would be happy to tutor lower division college math (precalculus, calculus, linear algebra, differential equations, multivariate/vector calculus, statistics, etc.) or physics (mechanics, thermodynamics, electricity & magnetism, optics). If any of these sound interesting, please feel free to reach out to discuss---I look forward to the opportunity to talk about and explain these topics that I enjoy!
