Hi, my name is Slater. I am a Junior at the University of California, San Diego, pursuing my Bachelor's in Computer Science. Teaching is one of my main passions, which is why I've been a tutor for over ten years. My tutoring career started in middle school where I tutored my peers in Algebra, Geometry, and Essay Writing. When I moved into high school, I continued to tutor these subjects but also started tutoring Pre-Calculus, Calculus, Trigonometry, and Statistics. Although I specialize in Math, my English skills are very good as a result of being an avid reader since kindergarten. I received a 5 on the AP English exam which is top 10% of test takers across the nation. I think very logically so I can break down effectively how to structure an essay so it hits all of the requirements needed for an A, without needing to be a fantastic writer in an artistic sense.
As I began tutoring in college, I continued to tutor these subjects along with areas related to my major in Computer Science. I tutor Python, C++, Java, HTML, CSS, and C at a very high level for all age ranges. Whether you need help with assignments in class or want help with personal projects I can show you how programmers think and work in the real world. If you are a more advanced CS student, I tutor Data Structures and Algorithms at a high level which is necessary for passing the Leetcode questions that you will be asked on all internship or job interviews.
