Bio

I am Mauricio and I love to tutor mathematics. I graduated from UCLA with a major in mathematics in 2000. I earned a Masters in Education with a secondary teaching credential in 2003. I have a combined 20 plus years of experience tutoring and teaching multiple math subjects. I currently specialize in tutoring community college level statistics.

I have a combined 20 plus years of experience tutoring and teaching multiple math subjects. I currently specialize in tutoring community college level statistics.

I taught middle school math (Pre-Algebra) for 4 years and high school math subjects for 5 years. In high school, the subjects I taught included Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra II, Pre-Calculus, and AP Statistics. Currently, I tutor multiple community college level math subjects as an Instructional Support Tech. While the subjects may range from Algebra to Differential Equations, I primarily tutor Statistics.

I am available to tutor from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm, Monday thru Thursday. Please feel free to contact me if you have questions or would like to schedule a tutoring session.

Patient and knowledgeable

Mauricio was a great fit for my son who’s in 11th grade and struggling with algebra 2. He was able to pin point exactly what my son needs to work on and showed him how to work problems on his own. He is very thorough in his explanation and very patient. We will be continuing our tutoring sessions with Mauricio and are hopeful with his help my son will be able to grasp the concepts of algebra 2.
