Hello, everyone who loves to learn Korean language and culture!
My name is Mi Kyung, and I am currently a Korean school teacher in Los Angeles. Born and raised in Seoul, South Korea, I lived there for nearly 30 years and speak standard, accurate Korean with no regional dialect.
I moved to the U.S. over 20 years ago to study art and have lived here ever since. Over the past 10 years, I've had the privilege of teaching both art and Korean language & culture to students of various backgrounds. As a creative and patient instructor, I truly enjoy working with students and engaging with them in the learning process.
If you need assistance with the Korean language, you can always count on me! For over 15 years, I taught Korean to my son from his youth through high school. He took Korean as a foreign language for four years in high school and graduated with the Bilingual Literacy Award in Korean. As both a mother and a teacher, I was incredibly proud of his achievement. I'm happy to share the strategies and techniques I used to help him succeed with anyone looking to improve their Korean skills or solve language challenges in an efficient way.
Additionally, I have completed the Korean Language Instructor Training Program for Foreign Learners at Yonsei University, which has provided me with a more effective and structured approach to teaching Korean. I am also a member of the Korean School Association of America.
Lastly, I am excited to introduce Korean culture, including K-pop and Korean history, to anyone interested in learning about the Korean spirit.
Feel free to reach out to me anytime if you need help with Korean language or culture.
Thank you!
