Hello, my name is Sam and I graduated Magna Cum Laude with a degree in Biology. I was academically successful, with a solid A average on courses ranging from Biochemistry, Cell Biology, Physics, Biology, Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Molecular Biology, Psychology, Neuroscience, and Sociology, all of which are present on the MCAT. Since the majority of my undergraduate degree was spent during the pandemic, I had to adapt to more independent forms of study - including leading study sessions and tutoring groups of other undergraduate students that ranged in size from 3 to 45 people through informal means, such as class study groups spawned from Groupme, Discord, etc. My approach focuses on meeting other students where they are, not on a formulaic or tired approach that works for some but leaves others stranded.
After scoring in the 98th percentile on the MCAT, I am offering 1 on 1 MCAT tutoring, with an emphasis on CARS. While I am proficient in all subjects (130/130/130/131) breakdown, I have noticed CARS is the greatest pitfall for prospective pre-meds, and I have consistently averaged a 130 CARS across my official exam and several official AAMC full length practices. However, I am more than willing to tutor any of the sections of this exam, alongside general strategies, schedule construction/planning, and other requests you may have.
The MCAT is a vast exam that covers a seemingly endless ocean of information. Students studying for this exam know that better than anyone. I believe the "highest yield" aspect is cracking the AAMC's particular logic, and I believe this is what allowed me to break the illustrious 520 mark on my exam. My work will be focused on helping students through full length review, 3rd party practice exams and/or questions, section banks, q packs, and whatever other resources they feel comfortable using to study.
