About Sheldon

Bio

Before Covid, I worked by day as a computer consultant and nights and weekends as a professor at a grad school. But, for now, I'm staying home. I still do the grad school work nights & weekends. So, that leaves me looking for something useful to do in the daytime. That's where you come in. I'd like to help you with whatever you need help with. Before my kids entered college, I served as their homeschool teacher for math & science.

In case you're wondering, I've set my rate here at 28% of my normal rate. I'm not here to make a fortune off you. I'm here to help out.

I've been professionally programming since 1971, and have been professionally teaching since 2012. I love teaching people how to do more with less effort.

I've given you my pitch. Now it's your turn. A word of caution: I won't be doing your homework for you.

The right tutor.

Sheldon was excellent to work with for my Java needs. First of all, he was very responsive and accommodating to the time I needed to connect with a tutor. Second, he knew exactly what I was struggling with and he took his time to walk me through each line of code. Because of his mentoring style, I finished my session with more clarity and confidence about Java. I have found a long term tutor in Sheldon and will be using his services again for future work. I recommend Sheldon with an absolute of 5 stars.
