Hello! I’m Carla. I was born in Peru and moved to California a few years back. I have a bachelor’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology and more than 6 years of experience as a teacher. I’ve always been passionate about education because it plays such an important role in our lives. Because learning is one of the most powerful gifts we’ve received, I find the process of learning fascinating, especially how it evolves across different stages of life. Understanding this has helped me realize that every student learns in their own way—and that’s exactly why I love helping them. It's a win-win: while they improve their abilities in learning a new language, I also learn from them.
I enjoy teaching grammar, but what I truly love is seeing students take the next step—practicing and building the confidence to use what they’ve learned. That’s where real progress happens. As someone who has also learned a new language, I understand the challenges it brings. But I also recognize how valuable it is to be bilingual in today’s world.

Spanish is my native language and I have +10 years of tutoring experience in the Spanish language at different levels, including high school Spanish 1, Spanish 2, Spanish 3, Spanish 4, & Honors, as well as College level, and conversational lessons with adult students.

The key to learning is to practice in every way possible—singing, listening to music, reading subtitles while watching movies, and more.
