I have been in the field of education for over twenty years and have extensive teaching and supervisory and administrative experience. I have developed and implemented curriculum and scope and sequence skills for toddlers through middle school and high school. I have taught preschool through high school, as well as multi-skilled, multi-aged classes. I have created specialized programs to meet the individual needs of students and have trained teachers in differentiated instruction. I have experience tutoring students both one on one and in small groups.
My goal as an educator is to develop life long learners and to get my students excited about learning. I build my students' self esteem and help them achieve a "can do" attitude about anything they set their minds to. I like to be a positive role model in their lives. My strength is in recognizing my students' unique strengths and abilities and pinpointing their individual learning styles so that I can adapt my teaching methods to help them reach their full potential.
I am responsible, creative, hard working, energetic, and well organized. I have excellent written and oral communication skills, and I am very passionate about the education of children.
