I hold a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering with a focus on nanotechnology and a Master's degree in Biomedical Engineering, both from the University of Southern California. My coursework demanded a strong foundation in biology, molecular biology, and advanced mathematics, and getting through that rigorous curriculum is where I built the study habits and problem-solving strategies I now pass on to my students.
For the past five years, I have tutored students privately in biology, molecular biology, algebra 1 and 2, and calculus. I work one-on-one, tailoring each session to the student's learning style and the specific class or exam they're preparing for. My priority is always helping students raise their grades, but I also focus on teaching practical tricks and shortcuts that make solving problems faster and more intuitive, so the confidence they build carries over to future coursework.
Having gone through demanding engineering and biomedical science programs myself, I understand firsthand how overwhelming these subjects can feel, and I draw on that experience to help students break complex material into manageable pieces. I am currently taking a gap year to apply to MD-PhD programs, so I stay deeply immersed in the sciences I tutor and bring an active, current perspective to every session.
