Hi, I'm Eve! I recently graduated from Princeton University with a Bachelor's in Mathematics and a minor in Computer Science. I have 3+ years of experience tutoring middle/high school math one-on-one with specific focuses on algebra, trigonometry, geometry, and (pre)calculus. My tutoring sessions have ranged from covering new concepts to reviewing old trouble spots to homework/exam assistance. Aside from my one-on-one experience, I also worked in a summer school for high schoolers who previously struggled with pre-algebra, algebra, trigonometry, and geometry. I used my individualized, needs-based approach to help these students get back on track for success.

My main goal as a math tutor is to get students out of the "memorization trap": instead of rote, rule-based problem solving, I focus on drawing connections between concepts and approaching problems in new, creative ways; that way, students can more deeply understand how different math concepts connect. I invest time and patience into each student so they can develop strong intuitions that will carry them forward on their math journey.
