I am a high-achieving high school student with a strong academic foundation in mathematics and a genuine interest in helping students gain confidence through understanding. I have completed advanced coursework through AP Calculus and tutor students from elementary school through high school and AP-level math in one-on-one settings. I work with students who need help strengthening fundamentals, completing homework, preparing for exams, or rebuilding confidence after struggling in math. My tutoring style focuses on clear explanations, structured step-by-step problem solving, and adapting lessons to each student’s learning style so that math feels logical, manageable, and less intimidating.
In addition to mathematics, cello performance and music instruction are my strongest tutoring areas. I am an advanced student cellist and currently serve as principal cellist of the Pacific Symphony Youth Orchestra, performing regularly at Segerstrom Concert Hall. I have also been selected as an alternate for the National Youth Orchestra of the United States (NYO-USA). My performance experience includes appearances at major venues in the United States and abroad, including Carnegie Hall and Disney Concert Hall, as well as concerts in Vienna, Brussels, and Paris.
My approach to music tutoring emphasizes building a strong technical foundation while encouraging musical expression and long-term growth. I teach students of all levels, from beginners to advanced players, and have experience working with elementary and high school students in private one-on-one lessons, ensemble coaching, and performance preparation. I help students develop tone, technique, phrasing, and confidence, while guiding them toward meaningful musical progress. Across both academics and music, my goal is to create a supportive environment where students feel motivated, capable, and proud of their improvement.
