Hello! My name is Elaine, and I’m a student at the University of Southern California pursuing a B.S. in Business of Cinematic Arts, an interdisciplinary program combining business and entertainment studies, and minoring in Entertainment Law. I’m actively involved in leadership and creative organizations on campus. I’m a Media Producer for Trojan Marketing Group, USC's student-run marketing agency, where I collaborate on client accounts and media campaigns. I’m also a member of the executive board of the Asian Pacific Cinema Association, as Co-Director of Physical Production. Prior to USC, I attended Orange County School of the Arts, where I was part of the Film & Television Conservatory.
One of my primary tutoring specialties is interview and college preparation. Having recently gone through competitive college admissions, internship applications, and job recruitment processes myself, I understand firsthand how challenging it can be to stand out. In addition, I’ve helped other students strengthen their applications and interview skills, including assisting two students who were successfully admitted to the Film & Television Conservatory at the Orange County School of the Arts.
What sets my approach apart is that I have experience on both sides of the interview process. During high school, I served on the Editorial Board of Yearbook and participated in student leadership, where I was involved in recruitment and candidate evaluation. I work with students to identify their unique strengths, develop compelling personal narratives, answer questions confidently, and tailor their applications and interviews to specific opportunities.
I also offer Korean language tutoring. My teaching experience includes tutoring through my high school's Korean Club as well as providing one-on-one instruction to friends. Whether students are looking to build conversational fluency, strengthen grammar fundamentals, or gain confidence speaking Korean, I can tailor lessons to each student's goals and learning style.
