I’ve taught one-on-one and in classrooms, virtually and in person, tailoring lessons to each student’s learning style. As a Student Council member at the 501(c)(3) nonprofit STEAM for All, I organized and led 200+ global STEAM events. I also volunteered at Learn To Be, tutoring underserved elementary and middle schoolers in math. I graduated summa cum laude from University High School in Irvine and am now pursuing a biology degree at the University of California, Irvine, as a pre-med student.
I believe the best learning happens through asking questions, so I create a welcoming, interactive environment where students feel comfortable speaking up. My favorite teachers were always easily accessible and dedicated to providing their students with extra support; I also try to embody that approach. My teaching style is highly interactive, encouraging students to think critically instead of passively receiving information. With a 35 ACT and 1540 digital SAT, I provide firsthand strategies for mastering standardized tests, fully aligned with the latest digital SAT format. I’ve volunteered extensively as an SAT tutor through Sal Khan’s Schoolhouse, and students laud my ability to break down complex ideas into simple, relatable explanations.
I’ve earned 5’s on AP Calculus BC (and AB subscore), AP Biology, AP Statistics, AP Psychology, AP Macroeconomics, AP English Literature and Composition, and AP United States Government and Politics, along with two AP Scholar with Distinction awards. I’ve also received excellence awards in mathematics, science, English, and social science.
