I hold a Master of Education degree and am a credentialed Education Specialist focused on mild to moderate disabilities. I have extensive experience teaching and tutoring students in grades 6–12 across English, math, science, and history. I’ve worked in general and special education settings, providing targeted instruction in traditional classrooms, small-group interventions, and one-on-one tutoring—both in person and online.
My educational philosophy is student-centered, structured, and strengths-based. I believe students learn best when lessons are meaningful, engaging, and tailored to their needs. I use multisensory strategies, visual scaffolds, real-world applications, and frequent checks for understanding to ensure deep learning. I also support students with executive functioning skills like organization, time management, and task initiation—especially those with ADHD, dyslexia, and IEP goals.
My instruction has helped students improve in areas such as reading comprehension, vocabulary, and fluency through structured literacy methods. In math, I guide students using visual models and step-by-step strategies to build understanding and raise performance. I also coach students in planning, drafting, and revising their writing, which builds confidence and clarity.
Students and families have shared that my support not only boosted academic achievement but also helped students develop a more positive relationship with learning. Many have improved GPAs, moved up in grade-level assessments, and gained independence. Above all, I strive to create a supportive, motivating environment where students feel capable and empowered to grow.
