I'm Ali! I hold a BS in Teaching Mathematics and have over 20 years of experience teaching, coaching, and tutoring students from elementary math to Calculus. My teaching journey began in 2001 at a Los Angeles middle school, where I taught Pre-Algebra and Algebra I to 7th and 8th graders. I also offered after-school tutoring to help students who needed extra support. Many of them faced learning challenges, so I worked closely with a Special Education teacher to adapt lessons based on IEPs. I used visual tools and hands-on activities to make abstract concepts more accessible and to build students’ confidence in math.
Outside of the classroom, I worked at enrichment centers like Gate Academy, supporting students in closing learning gaps. At Ardent Academy, I trained gifted students for the SAT and math competitions like Math League, MOEMS, and the AMC 8, 10, and 12. I emphasized frequent assessments and constructive feedback while sharing my passion for problem-solving—helping students become confident, independent thinkers.
I also run three YouTube channels dedicated to math instruction, where I publish daily videos on topics like Algebra, Calculus, Trigonometry, Number Theory, and Complex Numbers. I regularly interact with my viewers through comments and live chats, using their feedback to guide and improve my content.
Throughout my career, I’ve had the privilege of working with students from 2nd grade through college. My goal is always to make math approachable and engaging—through relatable examples, games, and hands-on strategies—so that every student can find success and joy in learning math.
