Hi! My name is Marta and I am a professional photographer and photo-retoucher based bi-annually out of Southern California and Milan, Italy. I started my career as a photographer six years ago, as a sports photographer, progressing to being one of the top sports photographers in endurance sports (specifically triathlon) in Italy, after moving there to pursue my Bachelor's in Visual Arts. I shot notable events such as the 2024 Tour de France, ironman World Championships, and Strade Bianche. I won the 2024 Ocean Watersports Photo of the Year in Lifesaving, and have been recently published around Europe for my reportage and humanitarian works. I now work primarily as a reportage photographer for NGO's worldwide, and as a communications consultant as well.

Alongside years of professional photography experience, I have also worked as a photo-retoucher in press photography, notably for Massimo Sestini News Agency (winner of the 2015 World Press Photography Award). I continue to teach editing masterclasses as well as individually tutoring photo editors as well as young photographers starting out their own careers. Teaching for me is purely a passion and I hope this site allows me to continue helping people develop their skills in photography and the visual arts.
