Hello!
I'm a math teacher with a Bachelors in Mathematics and a Masters Degree in Teaching Studies. For the last seven years I've been teaching full time and tutoring math at multiple schools in person and online. I love working with each student in designing engaging lessons to fit their unique needs. I currently work full-time as a math teacher in California and am tutoring on the side as it is a passion of mine to work one-on-one with tutees. I recognize that every student learns differently and incorporate creative and innovative ways to approach math such as with visual diagrams to draw out patterns to make math make sense. I also meet the student where they are at and adapt to their needs with different teaching styles. I strongly believe that math is a learnt skill and the way someone is taught makes all the difference in understanding math at a deeper level. I help my students come to incorporate a growth mindset, seeing mistakes as areas to grow their learning and embracing challenge. Working with a tutee one-on-one is the best and most effective way to receive personalized help and see growth.

I have taught students and tutees ranging from middle school to college level and am currently teaching 8th grade math, algebra 1, geometry and algebra 2 this year. I stay committed to professional growth by enrolling in courses to earn graduate level credentials and stay current with the latest educational practices to continuously improve my teaching style.

I have a Single Subject Credential in mathematics.
