I am a professional LSAT tutor with over 2 years of experience, having worked with well over a hundred students in both classroom and 1 on 1 environments. I’ve worked with students across nearly every score band to improve their scores on all sections of the LSAT. My passion is in the principles of logic and reasoning that are fundamental to the test, and I have found the test can be more simply understood according to these principles without reference to convoluted methods. By following this philosophy it took me only two months of study to achieve a 178 on my first administration; also receiving a perfect score on the Analytical Reasoning field study. As a tutor I employ the same non-dogmatic and intuitive approach that allowed me to score in the 99.9th percentile, but tailored to the individual needs and characteristics of each of my students.

To speak more about myself, I am a senior studying Political Science at UC Irvine with a 4.0 GPA. Alongside independent tutoring I have worked for Manhattan Review as an Expert Instructor for going on two years. I have long had a passion for tutoring, having worked throughout high school and middle school as a math tutor. As a tutor my goal is to perfect my students’ understanding of the test and to guide the development of their knowledge surrounding it. Rather than reciting complex sounding words and strategies. I instill in my students the ability to explain their answers and reasoning in common everyday English.

I really enjoyed my lessons with Damien because of the intuitive, efficient, and collaborative approach he takes. He provided me with strategies that allowed me to make quick and intuitive choices/eliminations when encountering difficult questions. Additionally, his unique approach supplemented the more formulaic one I had been using which allowed me to have a range of strategies dependent on the question. Damien also ensures a collaborative setting where we discuss questions back and forth, allowing me to challenge my personal biases and assumptions. After each lesson, Damien outlined to me what areas I could improve on as well as what my strengths were which was super helpful and encouraging as well. I would absolutely recommend Damien if you are looking for an engaging tutor that will get straight to the point clearly and concisely.

Very Knowledgeable and Flexible

Had a few lessons with Damien, and I can tell for sure that I'm already seeing improvements in the logical approach to LSAT questions. He had a set of questions for our first lesson to see where I stand at the moment, which is very helpful and shows his professional approach. His availability will suit everyone, and as someone who has a pretty busy schedule, I found no issues with that. Also, I would like to add that I have tried other tutors on and off this app that I wasn't really satisfied with because I found their approach to be very weak. I 100% recommend Damien and will be sticking with our lesson plan until I'm ready for the LSAT.

Knowledgeable and Patient Tutor

I really enjoyed my lesson with Damien. I had a hard time with some parts of the lsat and no matter how much time I put into solo studying, I wasn't getting any better. So I decided to book some lessons with Damien and his in depth explanation and vast knowledge of the test helped me a lot with improving my score. He introduced me to new strategies to approach questions (flaw questions in specific) and he was very patient throughout the whole lesson.
