I have a bachelors degree in Math-Computer Science from UCSD & a Master’s degree in Computer science from UCI. I am currently a 4th year PhD student in the CS department, where my research focuses on graphical models in Artificial Intelligence. I have 10+ years experience as a private tutor, and 6+ years of TA’ing. The majority of classes I teach at University level are discrete math, algorithms, AI courses, and theoretical computer science. I love exploring the intersection of computer science and mathematics.

My strength is teaching how to reason about difficult concepts and why things work, instead of memorizing a process; this way students can have an idea how to approach new problems. I don't believe you need to be "naturally smart" or inclined to be successful in STEM subjects, and my goal is to make this material more accessible to everyone. I have taught a very diverse range of students, from elementary school to college students, and in a wide array of settings, from 200+ student lectures to one on one tutoring. My broad range of experience has taught me how to tailor my explanations to the unique individual. Therefore, my students find me easy to communicate with and feel more open to asking questions.

Feel free to reach out to me with any questions, and I look forward to helping you!

Approved Subjects

ACT Math

ACT Math

I have a bachelors degree in math-computer science from UCSD and have 10+ years tutoring math in high school subjects.
C++

C++

I started my computer science exposure at Saddleback College where all CS classes were taught in C++(I got A's in all of them). I then transferred to UCSD where there upper level programming classes were also taught using C++ and I also aced these as well. Therefore C++ is the first language I have learned and the one I have the most experience with throughout my two computer science degrees. (highest masters)
Common Core

Common Core

I have a bachelor's degree in Math. I also have tutored elementary and middle school kids who followed the common core material with success.
Computer Science

Computer Science

I have a bachelors degree in math-computer science from UCSD. I have a masters degree in computer science from UCI. Im currently a PhD in computer science and currently do research in AI.
Data Science

Data Science

Hi I have a bachelors degree in Math-CS, and a masters in CS. I tutored data science at UCSD which was taught in python. I also have extensive knowledge of statistics which is important in data science.
Discrete Math

Discrete Math

I have a degree in Math-CS from UCSD, where the math -focus is specifically in discrete math since this is the math used in CS. On top of that I specifically have TA'd for the discrete math courses for 5 years now at UCSD & UCI. Therefore I have taught discrete math at least 10 quarters at UCSD & UCI
Finite Math

Finite Math

I have a bachelors degree in math from UCSD. Here I focused especially on discrete math, and also TA'd the discrete math courses at UCSD and UCI. The topics of finite math are a subset of those needed in discrete math.
ISEE

ISEE

I have a bachelors degree in Math and computer science, and I have been tutoring for over 10 years. I have helped multiple students prepare for the ISEE, as well as many other standardized math exams.
Linux

Linux

Hi I have a masters in computer science. I use a macbook which is Unix based, essentially the same as linux. All my programming is done through the terminal which requires knowledge of linux commands. I also had to take a linux class as part of my CS degree.
Logic

Logic

Hi, I have a bachelors in Math-CS from UCSD, my speciality was discrete math and theoretical computer science which includes logic. I have also TA'd these courses at UCSD and UCI
MATLAB

MATLAB

I have a bachelor's degree in Math-CS, here we used MATLAB for many classes. In addition I have a masters in computer science, so I know the fundamentals of logic in programming regardless of the language.
Statistics

Statistics

I'm currently a PhD student in Computer Science studying AI, and I have a bachelors degree in Math and computer science.
