Hello, my name is Sally and I have recently retired from teaching elementary school for nearly thirty years. I have taught grades TK-third grade and all the combinations in between. I utilized flexible small groups so I could attend to each child's needs more closely than most teachers were able to do and had the pleasure of closing academic gaps for many children. I believe curriculum and teaching methods need to match the child the child's needs, not the other way around. I worked with children with learning and emotional difficulties throughout my career and want to continue to help as many families as I can in my retirement.
I have a Master's of Education with a Reading Specialist certificate as well as a CLAD certificate for working with English as a Second Language students. In retirement, I look forward to continuing to support children and families by providing personalized instruction, encouragement, and care.
