Educational Background
I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing with a focus on product development. My academic and professional background has given me a strong foundation in strategic thinking, project planning, and creative problem-solving—skills I bring into every tutoring session.
Teaching & Coaching Experience
My teaching experience is diverse and people-centered. I have volunteered as an education docent at a local aquarium, where I engaged learners of all ages through interactive, curiosity-driven instruction. I also served as an assistant coach for a local Special Olympics chapter, working closely with athletes with intellectual disabilities. This experience strengthened my ability to adapt my communication style to create supportive, individualized learning environments.
In addition, I have years of informal but highly impactful teaching experience as a parent. While managing a product development consulting career, I have guided my children throughout their academic journeys, develop creative thinking, and navigate the college application process. I worked closely with my older child on developing a compelling portfolio, which contributed to his acceptance into the School of Cinematic Arts at USC. My younger child is a valedictorian with wide areas of interests and will be attending UC Berkeley this fall. Through these experiences, I have developed a strong understanding of college application timelines, expectations, and how to help students present their unique strengths effectively.
Approach & Philosophy
I specialize in coaching students and young adults in life planning, personal growth, and project management. My approach is strengths-based: I focus on what each student does well and build from there. I emphasize steady, incremental improvement—believing that even small daily progress compounds into meaningful long-term success. My goal is to help students gain clarity, confidence, and practical skills they can carry into every stage of their academic and personal lives.
