I work from your professor's syllabus and past exams, build an attack outline for your specific course, and grade your practice answers against what your professor actually rewards.

My background: University of Chicago Law School (top 10%, Law Review), California Bar on the first attempt, a federal clerkship, and litigation practice. I currently work in federal court, so the doctrine I teach is doctrine I'm actively using. For LSAT students: I scored a 175 and taught for a major test prep company before law school.

I passed the notoriously challenging California Bar Exam on my first attempt and have experience tutoring students to achieve the same success. Over the years, I’ve worked with a wide range of law graduates, helping them build strong essay, performance test, and MBE strategies. I graduated with honors from the University of Chicago Law School, where I was a member of the Law Review. I have extensive experience tutoring criminal justice at both the college and law school levels. I directed forensics programs at multiple high schools, coaching students to national championships across all debate formats. I was a successful Lincoln-Douglas and policy debater in high school, and ranked #1 nationally in NPDA parliamentary debate in college. I have extensive experience teaching debate, helping students develop strong research, argumentation, and public speaking skills. I guide students in crafting persuasive cases, mastering cross-examination, and excelling in tournaments. My coaching emphasizes strategy, confidence, and critical thinking to achieve success in debate competitions.

I taught AP Government, and my students earned the highest AP scores in the school's history. I'm also a University of Chicago Law School graduate who now works in federal court, so the institutions, civil liberties cases, and separation-of-powers questions on the exam are things I deal with professionally, not just chapters in a textbook. Sessions cover the full curriculum, including the required Supreme Court cases and foundational documents, but the focus is the exam: the multiple choice and, especially, the free-response questions, where the SCOTUS comparison and argument essay are where most students lose points. We practice writing responses that hit the rubric.

In practice: I read your syllabus and your professor's past exams, build an attack outline organized the way the exam will actually test the material, and grade your practice answers against what that professor rewards. We cover black-letter rules and IRAC structure along the way, but the goal is a written answer that scores, not an outline that looks complete. I'm a UChicago Law (Law Review) graduate who clerked in federal court and practiced at litigation boutiques. I currently work in federal court, so the doctrine I teach is doctrine I'm actively using.
Legal Writing

Most of my students earn A's on their LRW assignments, and several this semester received the highest grade in their section. Legal writing is its own discipline. I help students master what LRW professors actually grade: tight CREAC structure, accurate rule synthesis, precise application, and persuasive framing. Sessions work on whatever you're assigned: open and closed memos, appellate briefs, and motion practice, all calibrated to your professor's specific rubric. I'm a UChicago Law (Law Review) grad and federal law clerk. Motion and brief writing comprises most of what I do on a day to day basis.
LSAT

LSAT

I scored a 175 on the LSAT. Before law school I taught the LSAT for two major test prep companies and as a private tutor, and I've kept tutoring it one-on-one ever since. Before that I was a high school teacher — so I've been teaching for a long time, not a high scorer who picked up tutoring on the side. The LSAT is now two Logical Reasoning sections and one Reading Comprehension section, which means every point comes from the same skill: seeing the structure of an argument or passage faster and more reliably than you do today. We start with a diagnostic, isolate the question types and error patterns that are actually costing you points, and drill those specifically, with timed sections to make sure the gains hold under pressure. I usually teach from the PowerScore Bibles, but I'll work within whatever course or materials you're already using.
