I know that I have succeeded when I see that “Aha! moment” and I can tell that they have really grasped the whole concept from beginning to end.
I loved studying math as my favorite subject in grade school and throughout college. I will always continue to appreciate math as a lifelong skill and believe that it is a necessary skill for children of all ages to have. I love math because it is beautiful and fun, logical and truthful, simple and complex. My degree is in Applied Mathematics from SJSU in which I have excelled in pre-calculus, calculus, and many more upper level courses. Since graduation, my experience is one-on-one tutoring and substitute teaching elementary school students from Transitional Kindergarteners to 8th graders.
