With over nine years in public education, I bring experience, adaptability, and a passion for helping students succeed. As a U.S. Navy veteran, I have worked with diverse backgrounds, fostering discipline and adaptability in my teaching. I hold two associate degrees in Science and Technology from Victor Valley College, a bachelor’s in Liberal Arts (English) from Azusa Pacific University (2016), and a master’s in Technology in Education (2018). I am also QTEL-certified, SADIAE-certified, and Google Educator Level 1 & 2 certified, equipping me with strong instructional and technological expertise.
I currently teach 10th grade honors English and have previously taught 7th-12th grade English, working with ELL students, lower-level readers, and students of varying abilities. I modify lessons based on individual needs, ensuring accessibility and engagement. My approach centers on real-life connections—helping students see literature’s relevance to their own lives, making concepts more meaningful. I also have a strong background in French, having studied it for six years, and can assist students in language acquisition.
Whether supporting essay writing, literary analysis, SAT/ACT prep, or language skills, I focus on building confidence and fostering critical thinking. There is nothing more rewarding than witnessing a student’s moment of clarity—the instant when a challenging concept clicks. My goal is to equip students with the skills and mindset for lifelong success.
