I hold a PhD in Biochemistry and a Bachelor’s degree in Biotechnology, with minors in Microbiology and Chemistry. My academic training is supported by research experience and multiple peer-reviewed publications, and I have taught undergraduate students at the college level in laboratory and discussion settings. This strong content background allows me to tutor confidently across all K–12 math and science subjects, from foundational skills through advanced coursework.
For more than 10 years, I have taught high school science in both classroom and one-on-one settings. Outside of that I have also worked with middle school students. Approximately 80% of my students have neurodivergent learning profiles, so my teaching approach focuses on flexibility, structure, and clarity. I regularly break complex concepts into manageable steps, assess how a student is thinking, and adjust my explanations, examples, and pacing to match what works best for them. I use a combination of concept building, guided practice, and real-time feedback to strengthen understanding and confidence.
I understand what it feels like for students to struggle or feel unsure, and I prioritize building a supportive learning relationship. I am patient, empathetic, and committed to helping each student reach their full potential while also maintaining high expectations. My goal is not just to complete homework, but to develop independence and lasting skills. Students often share that they feel more confident and engaged after working with me, and many have told me, “I wish you taught everything,” which reflects the trust and connection I work hard to build with every learner.
