Hi, I'm Kaushal! I am a SpaceX engineer who has a passion for teaching! For the past nine years, I have taught students predominantly in math, physics, SAT/ACT and college prep, and college-level engineering courses such as thermodynamics and statics.

After graduating with Bachelor's and Master's degrees in aerospace engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology, I spent about a year developing fusion energy technologies directly underneath and alongside Nobel Prize-winning engineers and scientists. After that, I began working at SpaceX as a Flight Operations and Mission Control Engineer for the advanced Raptor rocket engine.

In my limited free time, I enjoy playing the piano and jamming with my friends, writing cheesy science fiction, exploring California's beautiful wilderness, and cooking/trying new food! I also am an active volunteer for Schools on Wheels, where I tutor K-12 students experiencing homelessness.

Approved Subjects

Chemistry

Chemistry

Collegiate chemistry followed by more advanced thermodynamics and combustion courses and research.
Mechanical Engineering

Mechanical Engineering

I studied engineering in undergrad and grad school, and I now work full-time as a propulsion engineer. In addition to this, I have worked in the past as a fusion energy design engineer, combustion engineer, fluids analysis engineer, and as a composite materials lead on my university's formula racing team. I have experience engineering aerodynamic systems, optomechanical systems, and propulsion systems. I studied standard mechanical engineering subjects such as thermodynamics, dynamics, structural mechanics, etc.
Physics

Physics

Bachelor's and Master's in Aerospace Engineering. I'm currently working on rocket engines.
Thermodynamics

Thermodynamics

I use thermodynamics every single day at my job as a propulsion engineer at SpaceX. Prior to this, I worked heavily on the computational fluids side when I studied rotating detonation engines in grad school. I also have worked as a combustion engineer at a small aerospace company, as well as a propulsion development engineer working on novel space station concepts.
