My educational story began at UCR where I got my bachelor’s in pure mathematics being awarded both dean’s and chancellor’s honor roll for multiple years. I then went to UNLV where I received my masters of education in curriculum and instruction for secondary math. Receiving my teaching credential at the same time of receiving my masters. I have received the CLAD certification from UCR and have done all necessary testing requirements to be a teacher in Nevada and California.

My educational story began at UCR where I got my bachelor’s in pure mathematics being awarded both dean’s and chancellor’s honor roll for multiple years. I have been a teacher for 8 years now teaching all levels of high school mathematics from Algebra 1 to geometry and the higher up maths like calculus and AP Precalculus. I have been a tutor for 10+ years in which I started tutoring math in high school for a job but also for different academic competition programs. I started teaching during my undergrad in which I was teaching remedial math to incoming first years. My teaching methods are very one on one and catered to the student. I have developed evaluation skills to be able to determine where the student stands in understanding and provide proper scaffolding so they discover the process on their own. I have gathered many resources to extend learning but also have learned to create my own problems when necessary to expand thinking. I enjoy using color coding and various media to help a student understand and re-teach the fundamentals of mathematics when necessary to solidify mastery of higher level math topics.
As I stated I have taught all topics of high school level math: Algebra 1 and 2, geometry, AP Precalculus, and calculus. I have taught 9th to 12th graders in classroom settings and one on one for 8 years.
