You are not alone, and I (amongst many others on here), am ready to help.
When I was working my way up through the academic ranks, I felt and had the same experiences. Too often was I spending late nights trying to wrap my head around complex calculus questions. What's worse, is that all this time and effort was spent to only get marginal results.
Thankfully for me, my parents decided to help me out and invest in a tutor to assist me in demystifying derivatives and my school work not only shot through the roof, but I was able to have more free time to focus on other areas of life.
I am quite certain that I am probably the only tutor on here who has admitted that they once got tutored, but that is precisely why and how I separate myself from others. (Don't worry, I am not a calculus tutor. I am extremely proficient in other topics).
I come to this role and job with an understanding of what it is like from both sides of the table which helps me break down the subject into easily digestible pieces that will make learning not only a more efficient process, but a more productive one as well.
My tutoring style leans heavily on subject relevance, helping my pupils put complex topics into subjects that already interest them, making it easier to digest and then explain.
