Hi! My name is Gloria.

I have over a decade of experience teaching writing at the college level.

And, I keep at it because it is fulfilling to see students gain greater appreciation for the English language, become more critical thinkers, readers, and writers, gain confidence in addressing various audiences and topics, tap into their curiosity and imagination genes, and, yes, also see their grades improve.

I provide the following services:
* one time editing of high school, college, or university essay assignments
* writing assistance on school essays - from brainstorming to final draft
* college admissions personal statement/insight questions feedback and guidance
* AP English Language and AP English Literature free response tutoring (including synthesis, rhetorical analysis, argument, and literary analyses)

I welcome papers from any class; they do not have to be just from English class. However, you will need to be sure to have the assignment prompt with you. It allows me to determine if your essay is on topic. Also, if a certain text needs to be used to write your essay, you will need to have it with you when we meet.

Everyone deserves to feel their minds blown by the excitement of getting what it means to think, read, and write critically, which is what is being asked of you in all the above essays.
