I have a BFA, magna cum laude, in Communications: Television & Film. I worked in the Television and Film business for 25 years in Los Angeles. I am also a published novelist and poet. My whole life has been shaped and defined by creative writing and because of this I have invested great time and energy in literature, grammar, vocabulary and all forms of 'storytelling'. From a young age I excelled in English and literature classes. I became involved with writing workshops in high school which is something that I have continued throughout the course of my life. I have always found great rewards in helping others with his or her writing endeavors; therefore, it is imperative to have a firm grasp on the basics of grammar and composition. My experience includes tutoring basic English to individuals to running group workshops. Also, in writing prose and poetry to essays and movie scripts.
In addition to writing, I worked as a video and film editor for television series, films and documentaries. My ability as a writer and understanding of composition and storytelling was a valued tool in all aspects of my career. In addition to writing screenplays and TV scripts I have done a great deal of editing work on other writers' material, both in scripts and in prose. I love working with others to overcome any difficulties they might have whether it is dealing with basics or the creative process.
I have published two novels, "Accidents of Birth" and "to live at the mouth of rivers". I also published a collection of selected poetry entitled "a tangle of light". Additionally my experience includes writing and editing for television in comedy, drama and documentary subjects. I also have experience writing and editing in a wide range of web content.
I have often been called upon to work as a proof reader in many writing and creative genres and mediums. I am a great lover of the English language and I have always been drawn to great writers, which has perhaps been my greatest education: reading, reading and more reading! I have
