Hi, I'm Cynthia!
I graduated with a Master's degree in Teaching (Best Practices) in 2012. Shortly after I received my Professional Certification in Educational Therapy from the National Institute of Learning Development.

I have spent the past 20 years working one on one to improve organizational skills, study skills, time management, as well as academics such as: reading, writing and mathematics.

In addition to tutoring students with coursework, I help students understand their classwork and I teach them HOW to learn, so they can become more independent in their education.

I follow the collaborative model of tutoring. The most important person in the collaboration is the student. Taking the time to know them, understanding their strengths and weaknesses, getting them "on board" with the learning process is a crucial part of their academic success. It is a personal goal of mine to make each student feel valued and capable. Watching them flourish as their confidence and skills build is my passion.

Thank you Sandra~ I look forward to their continued success!

Only four sessions in, and already Cynthia has taught me a lot.

I am getting so much out of my sessions with Cynthia. She is very patient and understanding. She guides me to solve problems without giving me the answer. I am learning from her how to get myself back on track when I lose focus and to complete my work more efficiently.
