Growing up in the northern Mexican border, Jovana has experienced and seen the needs and challenges of areas such as the border of Mexico and the U.S.A. She obtained her Bachelor's as well as her Master's degree at San Diego State University. Growing up in an underserved rural community, she is actively engaged with the Latin community. She aims to help Latin youth who dream about going to college achieving their goal of going and graduating. She also serves as an interpreter of Spanish/English for the community.
