Hi! My name is Anshuman Dash, and I am a masters student at University of California Santa Barbara, majoring in computer engineering. I have had internships at SpaceX and Meta. I graduated from ucsb with a 3.93, and high school with a UC GPA of 4.44, with 5's in AP tests for Calc AB & BC, Physic C & EM, Stats, Computer Science, and Environmental Sci. I completed every math course offered at my school, and took an additional 3 college courses during my time as a highschooler. I scored a 35 on the ACT, with perfect scores on the Math Sat, PSat, and ACT.

Numbers aside, I live by the philosophy if you don't enjoy something, you won't be able to excel at it. For that reason, when I tutor my priority is making sure my students love the material, in addition to fully understanding it. It is common to see tutors help prepare for tests and exams, but my issue with that is after that course is finished you once again struggle when you need to use that material again. By teaching the fundamentals, my students are able to fully understand the material and succeed. This style of teaching is more intuitive, less studying, and better understanding from my experience.

I have 6+ years experience in Python, Java, C++ and other more niche languages/API's. I have gotten above 97% in both AP computer science courses, and gotten 5's on the respective AP tests. I enjoy teaching fundamentals and how to think in coding, and python is an excellent language for an introduction, while still being robust enough to develop into much more complex tasks such as bots, AI, or even Machine Learning!
