Hi, I'm Michael! I am 4th year university student pursuing a Bachelor's degree in History and a minor in English, with a 3.9+ GPA. Though I have no formal training in education, for several years, I have tutored friends and family friends in the humanities and have helped to proofread and edit essays for coursework and for their applications to higher education. In addition, in high school, I took and scored 5s on the AP US History, AP Government and Politics, AP Literature, and AP Language courses, so I have ample experience with the coursework and can relate to the feelings and experiences of many high schoolers currently enrolled in such classes.
I've always been passionate about history and teaching it to others to share its importance to others. Similarly, though I once thought little of English and literature, I grew to appreciate it and find beauty and purpose in the discipline. While both subjects may seem boring or daunting, I believe that an excellent teacher can make all the difference in the world. I have been fortunate enough to have such educators in my life, and I hope to bring their same passion and clarity to my students so that they too can understand these important topics, improve their grades, and gain the skills necessary for future success, in both academics and in the workplace.
