Graduate of the University of Southern California, with a degree in Human Biology specifically focused on human performance, and a minor in occupational therapy. Master's in Secondary Science Education from California State University, Northridge. I have experience working with children in a home setting and students in an educational setting, primarily focused on childhood development and special education. I have experience working with students with Autism through my previous work in the applied behavior analysis (ABA) field.
Currently a high school Biology, Anatomy/Physiology teacher and have taught 2 years of 7th and 8th grade science in the past. I have strong math and science skills. I am familiar with elementary, middle and high school NGSS, Common Core standards and curriculum.
I am patient and a great communicator who enjoys teaching and making math and science fun for students. I am a strong believer in life-long learning inside and outside the classroom setting. Learning should be fun and enjoyable and I believe I can be a great resource to your student. I love to see my students achieve their goals and nothing beats an "AHA moment." I look forward to working with your student in person or virtually. Please reach out so we can become better acquainted and determine if I'm a good fit for your student's needs.
