Hello, I'm Tatevik! I graduated Magna Cum Laude from California State University of Northridge with a Bachelor's degree in Biology. I started off majoring in Mathematics but I realized I also had a love for biology while taking my generals. I was most interested in Mathematics and solving equations, in hopes of becoming a Professor. However, I started to love Biology and decided I wanted a career in which I could help people in all ways. In college, it was the mainly the professors that made the classes so enjoyable. Certain professors were always likable and made you want to learn everything about the subject. It was always pleasant when the professor loved the subject and was willing to help you to the best of their ability. This is what I plan to bring into my approach as a tutor, to make the experience of learning pleasant and enjoyable. I introduce the topics in enjoyable lesson plans and thoroughly teach the material. I also like to set aside some time at the end of each lesson to let the student practice the material on their own. This can be adjusted to each student's liking.

I have 8 months of pre-algebra college tutoring experience with four students and a month of experience with one 8th grade student for algebra. I like to work with the student's to make sure they don't fall behind, and work around the lessons to see which areas they need the most improvement on.
