I’m a native Korean speaker, Broadway performer. I hold a Master's degree in Acting(MFA) from University of Southern California(USC) and a B.A in Law from Hankuk University of Foreign Studies(한국외대).
My professional credits include Broadway’s KPOP (Juny), Broadway National Tour of Miss Saigon (Thuy), developmental workshops for Disney’s Hercules (Hercules), and numerous other performances in the United States and Korea.
I have many years of experience teaching Korean, singing, acting, and performance based communication to children and adults in both private and group settings.
As an actor and singer, I approach language through the connection between sound, physical movement, emotion, and meaning. I bring the same approach to teaching Korean so students can understand expressions more deeply and remember them more naturally.
Each lesson is tailored to the student’s level, interests, and goals. A K-pop fan might learn through a favorite song, while a K-drama fan might explore a scene they love. Students who prefer a traditional approach can focus on conversation, pronunciation, vocabulary, and grammar. Those who are not sure where to begin can rely on me to create a clear learning plan.
English explanations are available whenever helpful, and complete beginners are welcome. Lessons are available for students ages 7 and up.
Private and small group lessons are available. Students may bring their own group, and those interested in joining a future group may contact me about possible time slots.
