Hello, and thank you for visiting my profile. I have over 4 years of experience working with students in academic, instructional, and caregiving settings, and over the past year I have specifically focused on tutoring science-based subjects including biology, general chemistry, organic chemistry, biochemistry, and physics. I am a straight-A student at the University of Southern California, currently on track to complete my degree within the next year, and I am also actively preparing for the MCAT. Because I work with these subjects consistently through both my coursework and MCAT preparation, I have developed a strong ability to break down complex science-based material in a way that is clear, logical, and easy to follow.
In my tutoring experience, I have worked with students in paid one-on-one settings, helping them improve their performance in coursework and exams through step-by-step instruction and problem-solving strategies. I focus on teaching the “why” behind each problem so students understand the underlying concepts rather than relying on memorization alone. My background outside of tutoring has strengthened my teaching as well. I have worked as an EMT at multiple camps, coached teams of young children, and taught guitar to students ranging from 10 to 30 years old. These experiences taught me how to stay calm under pressure, adapt to different personalities and learning styles, and explain difficult material in simple, manageable steps.
As a tutor, I tailor each session to the individual student by using structured problem solving, visual explanations, and guided practice. My goal is not only to help students improve their grades and prepare for exams, but also to help them build confidence, stronger study habits, and lasting understanding. Please feel free to contact me if you would like to learn more or schedule a lesson.

Approved Subjects

Biochemistry

Biochemistry

Biochemistry is one of my favorite subjects to tutor because it combines detailed scientific understanding with logical problem solving. I earned the highest score on my biochemistry final in my class, and I spent countless hours studying both the facts and the science that support the subject at a deep level. Biochemistry is also a major part of the MCAT, which I am actively preparing to take, so I continue working with this material consistently. Because of that, I am able to break down difficult topics in a clear, structured way that helps students build real understanding rather than rely on memorization alone.
Biology

Biology

Biology is a subject I have been passionate about since I was young, especially in areas like anatomy and physiology. Throughout high school, I consistently performed very well in my biology and anatomy-based classes, and I earned the highest score on my biology final during my sophomore year. That long-standing interest, combined with my current pre-med coursework and MCAT preparation, has strengthened both my understanding of biology and my ability to teach it clearly. I focus on helping students connect detailed information to the bigger picture so they can build real understanding and confidence instead of relying only on memorization.
Chemistry

Chemistry

General chemistry is the foundation of my understanding across all of the sciences, and it is where much of my strength in biology, biochemistry, and organic chemistry begins. During my freshman and sophomore years, I devoted more time to studying general chemistry and organic chemistry than almost any other subjects, which gave me a very strong grasp of core chemical principles and problem solving. Because chemistry sits at the root of so many scientific disciplines, I understand how important it is for students to build a solid foundation rather than memorize isolated facts. As a tutor, I focus on helping students understand the logic behind each topic so they can approach chemistry with more confidence and carry that understanding into higher-level science courses.
Organic Chemistry

Organic Chemistry

Organic chemistry built directly on my strong general chemistry foundation and became one of the subjects that shaped the way I think most deeply. Its combination of theory, pattern recognition, and problem solving helped develop my ability to approach complex reactions and mechanisms in a logical and structured way. As a personal interest, I honestly prefer organic chemistry to general chemistry because I enjoy the depth of reasoning it requires and the way different concepts connect to one another. As a tutor, I help students move beyond memorization by understanding why reactions happen, how mechanisms work, and how to approach organic chemistry with more confidence and clarity.
Physics

Physics

Physics is one of the freshest subjects in my mind because I recently completed both Physics 1 and Physics 2 and earned A’s in both courses. It challenged me to develop a different kind of problem-solving approach, one that required strong conceptual understanding, careful setup, and disciplined step-by-step reasoning. Because I mastered it recently and am also continuing to review physics for the MCAT, I understand both the common struggles students face and the methods that help the material click. As a tutor, I focus on breaking physics into manageable steps so students can build confidence, understand the logic behind each problem, and approach the subject more effectively.
