Born in Armenia, Alfred Reganyan immigrated to California while still a child. As a pianist under the tutelage of Dr. Lucy Nargizyan (USC) at East Los Angeles College, he studied both solo and collaborative repertories (accompanying and orchestral playing), as well as choral singing and the violin. His piano studies continued at California State University, Northridge, where his work with Mark Richman (Julliard) on performance and Dr. Gayle Kowalchyk (Columbia) on pedagogy culminated in a Bachelor of Music degree.
