I am a professional college counselor and school counselor with 14 years of experience at Los Alamitos High School, where I support students in grades 9–12 with academic planning, college admissions, and postsecondary decision-making, with a primary focus on juniors and seniors.
I earned my Master’s degree in Education from Azusa Pacific University and hold a Bachelor’s degree. I have also completed formal training in college admissions counseling through UCLA Extension, earning a College Counseling Certificate. In addition, I serve as a UCLA Admissions Reader, which provides me with firsthand experience reviewing applications and evaluating students through a holistic admissions process.
I primarily work with high school students ages 14–18 in a public school setting, as well as through individualized advising sessions. My experience spans school counseling offices, one-on-one tutoring, small-group instruction, and large-group presentations, and includes collaboration with families, teachers, and administrators. I have supported students applying to a wide range of postsecondary options, including community colleges, CSUs, UCs, private universities, out-of-state institutions, and highly selective colleges.
My approach is student-centered, strengths-based, and highly organized. I focus on helping students clarify their goals, communicate their experiences effectively, and navigate the college admissions process with confidence through ethical advising, strategic planning, and clear, supportive guidance.
