I have had 4+ years in career development experience through pre-medical and pre-health advising at UC Berkeley. I have helped educate and instruct 1000+ students at UC Berkeley on their pre-health and pre-med aspirations during that time. I understand the path to choosing a career an be tough and confusing for high school and college students. Most of my career development counseling stems from my own experience navigating through many career options (from business to optometry to pharmacy to medicine), and even completing the pre-requisites for many of them before choosing my final career to be a physician. I also have been an interviewer for both medical school and residency interviews and know the insider details on how admissions committees review student admissions and offer acceptances. I also have experience from winning multiple merit-based and community college scholarships to college (and received a full-ride myself) and can give tips on that as well. As a high schooler and college student, I won 10+ scholarships all stemming from interviews and merit- based applications. I excel in public speaking engagements, as I have had to speak to 200+ student audiences for 4+ years at UC Berkeley on a weekly basis, have been invited to give multiple lectures and research presentations to academic audiences, and have an education minor which I used on a weekly basis as well for teaching, tutoring, and mentorship. In addition, as a medical student and resident, I have had 7+ years of interviewing medical/residency applicants myself, and also interviewed and presented hundreds of patients to attendings in the hospital as part of my medical training.
