I'm a professional data scientist with a decade of experience, including Fortune 500 companies, with a PhD in Nuclear Engineering. I am taking a break from full-time professional work as I find that tutoring and teaching is a lot more fun and rewarding than working a corporate job. For my SATs I scored a 690 on verbal, 780 on Math, and 710 in Writing. I won first place for my school's Math Olympiad and Chemistry Olympiad. My team scored fourth place in our district's Science Olympiad, our school's record best at the time. And I passed a wide range of Math and Science AP tests with 4s and 5s.
My previous tutoring experience including teaching SAT prep for The Princeton Review and at private smaller institutions throughout college and shortly after graduating. I've worked privately to tutor a variety of high school math and science subjects. And I worked for several years at an after-school program at Muirlands Middle School.
I like to think of myself as the fun teacher who will teach things to the point, but will also try to make it memorable for the student. An example is making fun of the College Board for being soulless drones, while encouraging students that the SAT is beatable by anyone who studies hard enough to be "smart".
