I’m a graduate of California State University, Long Beach, with a Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering. My background in advanced math, physics, and problem solving has given me a deep understanding of how to make challenging topics clear and approachable. During my high school and college years, I often helped classmates and younger students with calculus, algebra, and physics, explaining concepts in ways that connected to real-world examples. That experience helped me develop patience, clarity, and the ability to adapt my teaching style to each student’s needs.

My approach is centered on building confidence. I believe every student can succeed when they understand why something works—not just how to memorize it. Whether we’re working on math fundamentals or preparing for a test, I focus on helping students develop logical thinking and problem-solving skills that last beyond the classroom. I encourage questions, celebrate progress, and make sure learning feels positive and achievable.

Alongside math, I also offer drum lessons and Korean language tutoring. As a lifelong musician, I enjoy teaching rhythm, coordination, and musical expression to beginners of all ages. For Korean, I provide conversational practice and pronunciation help for students who want to connect with the language and culture. My lessons are relaxed but structured, and I always tailor them to fit each student’s goals and learning style.

Drums

Drums

I’ve been drumming for over eight years, starting in high school where I played marching and concert percussion from 8th through 12th grade, and received the John Philip Sousa Director’s Award for musical achievement and leadership. Since 10th grade, I’ve also played for multiple worship teams at various churches, and I continue to perform every Sunday at my home church. I have experience teaching students of all ages, helping beginners develop solid fundamentals, rhythm, technique, and musical confidence. I’m an intermediate-level drummer and percussionist capable of teaching full drum kit basics, marching snare/bass, and foundational concert percussion in a patient and encouraging environment.
Elementary Math

Elementary Math

I have a strong foundation in math through my Aerospace Engineering degree, which required mastery of core concepts built on elementary-level skills. I’ve helped younger students understand math in simple, clear ways by breaking problems down and relating them to real-life examples. I focus on building confidence first, making sure students truly understand the “why” behind each step instead of memorizing. My approach is patient, encouraging, and tailored to each child's learning style so they can develop strong fundamentals and enjoy learning math.
Korean

Korean

I’m a bilingual Korean-English tutor who uses Korean every day at home and in my church community, giving me natural fluency in speaking, listening, and cultural communication. I regularly interact in Korean with both older adults and younger worship teams across multiple ministries, so I’m comfortable teaching students of all ages and backgrounds. I also scored a 780 on the Korean SAT Subject Test in high school, missing only one question, which reflects my strong academic understanding of grammar and vocabulary. My lessons focus on practical conversation, pronunciation, and real-life language use, and I tailor each session to help beginners and heritage learners build confidence step by step.
