Hello, my name is Annalisa! I bring years of dedicated experience in American Sign Language to my tutoring, along with a genuine passion for helping students succeed. My ASL journey began with three years of intensive high school training, where I achieved fluency and discovered how much I enjoy supporting others in their learning. At San Diego State University, I tested into ASL 3 and quickly became a mentor to many of my classmates. Since then, I’ve had the privilege of working as an ASL tutor for Division I student-athletes, guiding them through ASL 1, 2, and 3. In this role, I tailored lessons to each student’s needs—whether it was mastering vocabulary, improving grammar, or building conversational confidence—and I’m proud that all of my students excelled in their courses.
I’ve gained hands-on experience as a Signing Paraeducator in a Deaf/Hard-of-Hearing elementary program, where I assisted classroom instruction and communication in ASL. As a master’s student in Speech-Language Pathology at California State University, Fullerton, I am committed to supporting individuals with empathy and dedication while strengthening their skills for more effective communication. Whether you’re just starting ASL or looking to strengthen your skills, I look forward to supporting your growth and making learning both effective and enjoyable!
