I’m Joshua, a certificated K–8 teacher with a BA from Fresno State University and a Multiple Subject Teaching Credential from Fresno Pacific University. With 10 years of classroom experience at Roeding Elementary, I’ve helped students ages 9–13 achieve academic mastery above district averages in English Language Arts, math, science, social studies, and more. I provide personalized tutoring, whether it’s one-on-one support, small groups, or whole-class strategies, ensuring every student learns, grows, and succeeds.
Beyond academics, I’m deeply committed to social and emotional learning, serving 10 years as chair of the Climate & Culture Team and 8 years on the School Site Council. I also bring expertise in literacy intervention (8 years with Springboard Collaborative), athletics (5 years coaching), music, art, and student enrichment programs like Saturday Academy. I use evidence-based methods and relationship-centered instruction to create a safe, encouraging, and motivating learning environment.
My goal is simple: to help students build confidence, develop resilience, and reach their full potential. By combining rigorous instruction with SEL practices and hands-on learning, I ensure tutoring sessions are productive, engaging, and fun. Whether your child needs academic support, enrichment, or confidence-building, I’m here to help them succeed in school and life.
