Hi, I’m Aubrey! I am excited to work with new students in creating an encouraging and individualized environment to support learning. I graduated Summa Cum Laude in 2025 from California State University Fresno with a bachelor’s degree in Anthropology and a Jewish Studies minor. During my time there, I received the 2024-2025 Undergraduate Research Award grant for my research with Disabled and aging people using a Body Map Storytelling methodology. Since being an Anthropology major helped me to foster excellent writing skills, I intend to use what I have learned to help other people succeed. I specialize in tutoring for both writing and Anthropology.

I have previous experience as a Supplemental Instruction tutor at Fresno City College (FCC), where I supported students in learning complex concepts in Introduction to Biological Anthropology. As I got to know my students, my method was to take each student’s individual talents and needs into consideration while making lesson plans. I worked in both group and one-on-one settings during my time at FCC.

Working at FCC allowed me to develop my own tutoring style and helped me to realize that I love working with students. Continuing with what I learned from my previous tutoring job, I will take an encouraging and individual approach with each student I work with. This includes deeply considering each student’s unique needs and strengths. I believe that getting to know each student's learning style on a personalized level and tailoring lessons to each student is key for successful tutoring and student confidence.
