I hold a bachelor’s degree in Communicative Sciences and Deaf Studies from California State University, Fresno, with a focus on language development, early intervention, and literacy support. I will be starting my final SLPA certification courses in September, with plans to continue my education and become a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP). My academic background has equipped me with a deep understanding of speech and language development, as well as the tools to support students struggling in communication-based and academic areas.

I have several years of experience working with children of various ages in both classroom and one-on-one settings. I’ve privately tutored elementary and middle school students in reading, writing, and early math, using individualized strategies rooted in patience, creativity, and connection. I’ve also taught kindergarteners at an Islamic Sunday school, designing engaging lessons that supported language development, behavior modeling, and foundational academic skills. I’ve worked with neurodiverse learners and students with communication differences, always emphasizing a supportive and confidence-building approach.

My goal is to help students feel seen, supported, and capable. Whether I’m helping a child master phonics, organize their thoughts for an essay, or build the language skills to express themselves clearly, I adapt each session to their pace and goals. I’m passionate about helping kids learn in ways that feel rewarding and enjoyable, and I’m excited to keep growing in this work as I continue my journey toward becoming an SLPA and eventually an SLP.
