My love for teaching comes from my experiences teaching at the University and working in the technology industry.
I have a PhD in Computer Science and an MBA from UCLA. Due to my undergraduate standing in the top 5% of my class and my GRE score in the 96th percentile, I received a scholarship to pursue graduate studies. In parallel to my PhD research, I taught core classes in Computer Science to undergraduate students. Teaching and mentoring undergraduate students and helping them achieve their goals has been one of the biggest achievements of my graduate school days.
I have found that the difference between success and failure in learning comes down to the student’s relatability to the content. I have developed a method to take difficult problems and break them down in ways the students can relate to through a learned concept or a real-world experience. This approach yielded great results. My passion and strength in math have been foundational to my own experiences – enabling me to publish technical papers in my research area, score in the 96th percentile in GMAT, and achieve success in the technology industry.
I have personally experienced the transformative impact a great teacher can have on a student. I have been fortunate to have crossed paths with a few great teachers in my life. The best ones can identify each student’s strengths and customize the teaching experience to amplify those strengths. This is my approach to tutoring as well – customizing the learning experience of the student, increasing their relatability to the content, and combining that with rigorous practice. Based on my own experiences and my prior success with students, I can help you achieve your goals.
I look forward to helping you achieve success!
